This is the finished artwork cover on my new Moleskine sketchbook. So far it’s the only artwork on my sketchbook. Hahah! I haven’t had time to draw lately.   I submitted this to fuckyeahmoleskines.tumblr.com and moleskinelovers.tumblr.com but haven’t had time to post it on my own blog, so here it is.

Another vintage lady. I call this piece, Estelle. Originally, she had red hair and a peach dress, but I decided to do that for another piece that I haven’t finished yet. I also like the brown hair on her, and the purple dress. I think it looks more striking. I was going to make a series, but I haven’t had time to make another one to actually have a series. I have 2 so far. This is the other one, go check it out.

It’s Arrested Development

Day 9 of the 30 Day Drawing Challenge is to draw your favorite TV show and one of my best and favorite shows is Arrested Development. It’s just, it’s the best. 

I thought about drawing just Michael but who are we kidding? This is an ensemble show, and you have to draw everyone and well that would require a lot of time. So I just drew their clothes and that which makes their character recognizable. Lucille complete with her fox scarf that was missing a leg and a glass of martini. Lol.

Omg, I wanna watch this show again.

I did these on both sides so I had to edit the photo so you can see the doodles without tilting your heads.

This is sort of a finished/unfinished graphic design work that I did a while ago I got busy with something else so I never got to finish the whole thing. I think it’s good by itself though.

The main goal was to use type and punctuation into illustrative art. I believe I have achieved that. 

I used Arial for the typeface because I can’t afford Helvetica. Lol.

I made this on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, but forgot to scan it. It’s from the book “Oh the Places You’ll Go” I was going to do Yertle the Turtle or Sam-I-Am, but I like this one.

I did this 2 years ago for one of my classes as a practice for using the Gradient Mesh tool in Illustrator. It turned out well, and long-story-short, it ended up being my opening piece for my portfolio book. Made with Adobe Illustrator CS4.
